The absolute authority of the Bible over our lives is based on the fact that this Book does not merely contain the Word of God, but that it is the Word of God in its sum and in its parts.
This text further teaches us the purpose of Scripture: “that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” The same Lord who sent His Word to us so faithfully is beside us today, to equip us. Let us fearlessly step out into His glorious plan for our lives. We are not going in our own resource. He is completing us, maturing us, and equipping us through His Word.
