Thee End... Are you rapture ready?

Matthew 24 Signs of the End of the Age

31And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.

32"Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. 33Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door. 34I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. 35Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

The Day and Hour Unknown

36"No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son,] but only the Father. 37As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 38For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 40Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. 41Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.

42"Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. 43But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. 44So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.

45"Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time? 46It will be good for that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns. 47I tell you the truth, he will put him in charge of all his possessions. 48But suppose that servant is wicked and says to himself, 'My master is staying away a long time,' 49and he then begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with drunkards. 50The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of. 51He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Enoch was the first prophet to talk about the Lord’s coming back.

Jude 14-15 “Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men: "See, the Lord is coming with thousands upon thousands of his holy ones 15to judge everyone, and to convict all the ungodly of all the ungodly acts they have done in the ungodly way, and of all the harsh words ungodly sinners have spoken against him."

Bible talks about the second coming:

The Bible revealed to the prophets that the Lord would come a second time before He was ever born the first time. (Psalm 102:16)

During the feast of the Tabernacles the Lord would be King over the earth. (Zach. 14:9, chapters 12-14 – The Lord’s feet would stand on the Mt. of Olives, break into parts)

Daniel 7:22 “until the Ancient of Days came and pronounced judgment in favor of the saints of the Most High, and the time came when they possessed the kingdom.”

The End Times was to be hidden until the last generation:

Daniel 12:8-9 8 I heard, but I did not understand. So I asked, "My lord, what will the outcome of all this be?" 9 He replied, "Go your way, Daniel, because the words are closed up and sealed until the time of the end. 10 Many will be purified, made spotless and refined, but the wicked will continue to be wicked. None of the wicked will understand, but those who are wise will understand.

Partial reveal with the Apostle Paul, Peter (Rev. with John): (Ephesians 1:4)
1 Peter 1:20 “He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake.”

Apostle Paul: Road to Damascus, (Acts 9:3-9) Paul was going to capture and kill Christians. Ananias, laid hands on the blind Paul (Acts 22:12-24) The Jews, when they found out that Paul had converted, were looking to kill him. So, Paul fled to the wilderness (desert).

Ephesians, Galatians, and the book of Romans, Paul talks about how there were mysteries from the foundations of the world made known to him. (7 revelations, one is…)

The Coming of the Lord: 1 Thess. 1:10, 2:19, 3:13, 4:16, 5:2

1 Thess. 4:16-18 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. 18Therefore encourage each other with these words.

“Caught up” is the English word Rapture. There are other English words that are not found the in the English Bible: Trinity, Millennial Reign, and Demon.
Saint Jerome in 400 AD wrote the Latin Vulgate and he used the Latin word for rapture in 1 Thess. 4:17 (Rapiemur)

Eph 1:9-10 And he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, 10to be put into effect when the times will have reached their fulfillment—to bring all things in heaven and on earth together under one head, even Christ.

Gathering together: 1) Dead in Christ, 2) Living Saints

Paul went to Arabia to receive the Word of God. Mount Sinai is found in Arabia where Moses received the Torah. Possible that Paul may have gone to Mount Sinai??? Won't that be interesting.

Gal 1:16-17 to reveal his Son in me so that I might preach him among the Gentiles, I did not consult any man, 17nor did I go up to Jerusalem to see those who were apostles before I was, but I went immediately into Arabia and later returned to Damascus.

Galatians 4:23-26 His son by the slave woman was born in the ordinary way; but his son by the free woman was born as the result of a promise.

24These things may be taken figuratively, for the women represent two covenants. One covenant is from Mount Sinai and bears children who are to be slaves: This is Hagar. 25Now Hagar stands for Mount Sinai in Arabia and corresponds to the present city of Jerusalem, because she is in slavery with her children. 26But the Jerusalem that is above is free, and she is our mother.

(Galatians 1:17) Paul just spoke about going to Arabia to receive the revelation of God, then mentions Mt Sinai there. I believe Paul is letting us know that he went to the same place where Moses reserved his revelation.

QUESTION??? Is the rapture is just a fabrication! “The rapture is just for people who don’t want to go through the tough times.” (Pre-Trib, Mid-Trib, Post-Trib)

Everything in the N.T. that was a major prophetic event: Jesus dying, rising from the dead, when the Holy Spirit came, can be found in the fall feasts of Israel by pattern or by pattern in the first 5 books of the Bible.

Is there a picture of the “catching away” in the O.T.? Yes!

Exodus 19 the people were preparing for the third day by sanctifying themselves.

Hosea 6:2 After two days he will revive us; on the third day he will restore us, that we may live in his presence.

1 Thess. 5:23 May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Back to Exodus 19, 16 On the morning of the third day there was thunder and lightning, with a thick cloud over the mountain, and a very loud trumpet blast. Everyone in the camp trembled.

17 Then Moses led the people out of the camp to meet with God, and they stood at the foot of the mountain. 18 Mount Sinai was covered with smoke, because the LORD descended on it in fire. The smoke billowed up from it like smoke from a furnace, the whole mountain trembled violently, 19 and the sound of the trumpet grew louder and louder. Then Moses spoke and the voice of God answered him.

“The Trumpet Blast” Hebrew: Tekiah Hagadolan “Great Blast” (Shofar- ram’s horn)
Rosh Hashanah trumpet call, 4 blasts, the last holds out as long as possible. Trumpet could be the voice of God.

Exodus 19:20 The LORD descended to the top of Mount Sinai and called Moses to the top of the mountain. So Moses went up

God came down and Moses went up to meet God. A picture of the rapture?

Let’s look at three men: Enoch, Moses, ElijahPlease
Remember: God said in the scripture that set what will happen in the future through people, places, and situations that are recorded earlier in history (repeats).

Eccl. 1:9 What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun.

1. Enoch, 7th from Adam was caught away

Gen. 5:24 Enoch walked with God; then he was no more, because God took him away.

Hebrews 11:5 By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death; he could not be found, because God had taken him away. For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God.

Enoch was 365 years old, walking with God, caught up. This is a picture of what will happen in the 7th Millennium.

Rapture: means “catch away” 1 Thess. 4:16, 1 Cor. 15:52

2. Moses:
Duet. 34:1-7 Then Moses climbed Mount Nebo from the plains of Moab to the top of Pisgah, across from Jericho. There the LORD showed him the whole land—from Gilead to Dan, 2 all of Naphtali, the territory of Ephraim and Manasseh, all the land of Judah as far as the western sea, 3 the Negev and the whole region from the Valley of Jericho, the City of Palms, as far as Zoar. 4 Then the LORD said to him, "This is the land I promised on oath to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob when I said, 'I will give it to your descendants.' I have let you see it with your eyes, but you will not cross over into it."

Moses saw the Dead Sea, Mediterranean Sea, and Promised Land, buried in the Valley of Pisgah near Mt. Nebo. “No man knows where his grave is”!

5 And Moses the servant of the LORD died there in Moab, as the LORD had said. 6 He buried him in Moab, in the valley opposite Beth Peor, but to this day no one knows where his grave is. 7 Moses was a hundred and twenty years old when he died, yet his eyes were not weak nor his strength gone.

Picture: Moses represents the saints that have been buried and in the grave.
Enoch represents the saints who are alive at Christ’s return.

As a side note: After Jesus’ resurrection dead people were raised and walked around.
Matt. 27:52-53 The tombs broke open and the bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life. 53They came out of the tombs, and after Jesus' resurrection they went into the holy city and appeared to many people.

3. Elijah Jericho (same area)
2 Kings 2:4-8 Then Elijah said to him, "Stay here, Elisha; the LORD has sent me to Jericho." And he replied, "As surely as the LORD lives and as you live, I will not leave you." So they went to Jericho.
5 The company of the prophets at Jericho went up to Elisha and asked him, "Do you know that the LORD is going to take your master from you today?" "Yes, I know," he replied, "but do not speak of it."
6 Then Elijah said to him, "Stay here; the LORD has sent me to the Jordan." And he replied, "As surely as the LORD lives and as you live, I will not leave you." So the two of them walked on.
7 Fifty men of the company of the prophets went and stood at a distance, facing the place where Elijah and Elisha had stopped at the Jordan. 8 Elijah took his cloak, rolled it up and struck the water with it. The water divided to the right and to the left, and the two of them crossed over on dry ground.

The River of Jericho was divided and they crossed (Same as the Red Sea)

2 Kings 2:12 - 13 As they were walking along and talking together, suddenly a chariot of fire and horses of fire appeared and separated the two of them, and Elijah went up to heaven in a whirlwind. 12 Elisha saw this and cried out, "My father! My father! The chariots and horsemen of Israel!" And Elisha saw him no more. Then he took hold of his own clothes and tore them apart.

13 He picked up the cloak that had fallen from Elijah and went back and stood on the bank of the Jordan.

This is a picture of the last days. Elijah is a picture of the rapture and Elisha is a picture of the 144,000 Jews that will be God’s witnesses when the church is gone.

Rev. 14:1-3 Then I looked, and there before me was the Lamb, standing on Mount Zion, and with him 144,000 who had his name and his Father's name written on their foreheads. 2And I heard a sound from heaven like the roar of rushing waters and like a loud peal of thunder. The sound I heard was like that of harpists playing their harps. 3And they sang a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders. No one could learn the song except the 144,000 who had been redeemed from the earth.

Many other Jews during the Great Tribulation will leave and find shelter at Petra, Jordan where God will protect and care for them.

Why do I think Pre-tribulation? God has always saved the elect from trouble. Noah and the ark, Moses and the deliverance of His people, Lot.

1 Thess 5:9 For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Luke 21:36 Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man."

Revelation 3:10 Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come upon the whole world to test those who live on the earth.

WHAT ARE SOME OF THE SIGNS AND ARE THEY HERE NOW?

1. Israel will become a nation (re-gathered)
Daniel 1:1 In the third year of the reign of Jehoiakim king of Judah, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came to Jerusalem and besieged it.

Nebuchadnezzar destroyed the city in 586 B.C.. Israel hasn't been a nation for 2,534 years
Ez. 20:33-38, 22:17-22, 36:22-24;

Isa. 11:11-12 In that day the Lord will reach out his hand a second time to reclaim the remnant that is left of his people from Assyria, from Lower Egypt, from Upper Egypt, from Cush, from Elam, from Babylonia, from Hamath and from the islands of the sea.
12 He will raise a banner for the nations and gather the exiles of Israel; he will assemble the scattered people of Judah from the four quarters of the earth.

Zeph. 2:1-2 Gather together, gather together, O shameful nation, 2 before the appointed time arrives and that day sweeps on like chaff, before the fierce anger of the LORD comes upon you, before the day of the LORD's wrath comes upon you.

May 14, 1948 Israel became a nation

Matt. 24:32-33 "Now learn this lesson from the fig tree (we will see that the fig tree is talking about Israel): As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. 33Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door. 34I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. 35Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.Joel 1:7 It has laid waste my vines and ruined my fig trees. It has stripped off their bark and thrown it away, leaving their branches white.

Hosea 9:10 When I found Israel, it was like finding grapes in the desert; when I saw your fathers, it was like seeing the early fruit on the fig tree. But when they came to Baal Peor, they consecrated themselves to that shameful idol and became as vile as the thing they loved.

2. Jerusalem as its capital 1967 war, no capital for 2,553 years
The dividing of Israel and Jerusalem is not the right thing to do. This will bring God's wrath even though that is what the antichrist will do in the near future.

Joel 3:2 2 I will gather all nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. There I will enter into judgment against them concerning my inheritance, my people Israel, for they scattered my people among the nations and divided up my land.

3. European Union (One World Order or Government, Revived Roman Empire) Dan. 2:40-43; 7:7-8, 20, 23-24; Rev. 12:3, 13:1, 17:3, 7:12-13, 17-18; Matt. 24:15-22; II Thess. 2:8
