The Great Tribulation

The Great Tribulation Begins…

Daniel 9:27 “He will confirm a covenant with many for one 'seven.' In the middle of the 'seven' he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on a wing of the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him.”

Matthew 24:15-21 "So when you see standing in the holy place 'the abomination that causes desolation, 'spoken of through the prophet Daniel—let the reader understand— 16then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17Let no one on the roof of his house go down to take anything out of the house. 18Let no one in the field go back to get his cloak. 19How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! 20Pray that your flight will not take place in winter or on the Sabbath. 21For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now—and never to be equaled again.”

Some of the Jews in Israel will flee to Petra in Jordan where God will protect them. Many others will be under captivity by the Antichrist & False Prophet.

Daniel 7:25 “He will speak against the Most High and oppress his saints and try to change the set times and the laws. The saints will be handed over to him for a time, times and half a time.”

Revelation 13:5 “The beast was given a mouth to utter proud words and blasphemies and to exercise his authority for forty-two months.”

(Daniel 12:1-7, Revelation 12:6, 13-17)

The Beast has killed the two witnesses and their bodies were laying in the streets for 3 ½ days for all the world to see. People of the world gave each other gifts to mark their dying. Then God raptured them to heaven in full view of the world. Now the mess begins. The Antichrist will sit on the throne and call himself god. Then it all happens…

The Mark of the beast is implemented, the New World Government is in full force; worship of the beast is mandatory or death by beheading. The Jews will be killed in Jerusalem and around the world, again.

Seven bowls of judgment will be poured upon the earth. Catastrophe after catastrophe will follow as described in Revelation 6-18.

1. (Rev. 16:2) Upon the Earth: Sores on the worshippers of the Antichrist.
2. (Rev. 16:3) Upon the Seas: Turned to Blood
3. (Rev. 16:4-7) Upon the Fresh Water: Turned to Blood
4. (Rev. 16:8-9) Upon the Sun: Intense, Scorching Heat
5. (Rev. 16:10-11) Upon the Antichrist’s Kingdom: Darkness and Pain
6. (Rev. 16:12-16) Upon the River Euphrates: Preparation for Armageddon
7. (Rev. 16:17-21) Upon the Air: Earthquakes and Hail

There will be wars for the land of Israel. The Antichrist will defeat many other countries. There will be a revolt from the South (Egypt area) and North (Russia's second invasion).

Daniel tells us that a great army from Africa, including Egypt and others numbering in the millions will attack from the south.

Russia has an earlier set back with the “War of Gog and Magog” several years earlier in Northern Israel (Ez. 38-39). But they will make a second attack from the north.

The Antichrist will be able to crush these two resistances for he will have great power and no other country will be able to defeat him until Christ's Second Coming.

China makes her move from the east (Dan. 11:44). China will come down with a horde of 200 million (Rev. 9:16) but will have to divert some of the army to defend herself.

Satan’s Battle plan comes to the forefront in bring everyone together not just to fight each other but to divert all their attention to the battle against God Himself.

Revelation 16:13-14 “Then I saw three evil spirits that looked like frogs; they came out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet. 14They are spirits of demons performing miraculous signs, and they go out to the kings of the whole world, to gather them for the battle on the great day of God Almighty.”

The armies of the world will be used as Satan’s pawns for this final hour of victory. The revolt against the world dictator will cause the nations to assemble in the valley of Jezreel (Armageddon)

Revelation 16:16-21 “Then they gathered the kings together to the place that in Hebrew is called Armageddon.
17The seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air, and out of the temple came a loud voice from the throne, saying, "It is done!" 18Then there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder and a severe earthquake. No earthquake like it has ever occurred since man has been on earth, so tremendous was the quake. 19The great city split into three parts, and the cities of the nations collapsed. God remembered Babylon the Great and gave her the cup filled with the wine of the fury of his wrath. 20Every island fled away and the mountains could not be found. 21From the sky huge hailstones of about a hundred pounds each fell upon men. And they cursed God on account of the plague of hail, because the plague was so terrible.”

Matthew 24:29-30 "Immediately after the distress of those days" 'the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.'
30"At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great glory.”

(Matt. 19:28, 23:39; Mark 13:24-37; Luke 12:35-48; 17:22-37; 18:8; 21:25-28)

Jesus shows up to save the “tents of Judah” first (Zech. 12:7) then moves to (Bozrah) Petra to save the Jews in hiding (Isaiah 34:6), then He shows up over the Valley of Armageddon with His armies made up of everyone reptured seven years earlier.

Guess who comes with Jesus to fight? The Church Returns...

Rev. 19:11-21 “I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and makes war. 12His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself. 13He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. 14The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. 15Out of his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. "He will rule them with an iron scepter." He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. 16On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.

17And I saw an angel standing in the sun, who cried in a loud voice to all the birds flying in midair, "Come, gather together for the great supper of God, 18so that you may eat the flesh of kings, generals, and mighty men, of horses and their riders, and the flesh of all people, free and slave, small and great."
19Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to make war against the rider on the horse and his army. 20But the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who had performed the miraculous signs on his behalf. With these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped his image. The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur. 21The rest of them were killed with the sword that came out of the mouth of the rider on the horse, and all the birds gorged themselves on their flesh.”

Satan will be cast alive into the bottomless pit for 1,000 years

Revelation 20:1-3 “And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key to the Abyss and holding in his hand a great chain. 2He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil, or Satan, and bound him for a thousand years. 3He threw him into the Abyss, and locked and sealed it over him, to keep him from deceiving the nations anymore until the thousand years were ended. After that, he must be set free for a short time.”

Then the Old Testament and Tribulation saints will be resurrected and given new bodies like the reptured church.

Matthew 24:31 “And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.”

Revelation 20:4 "I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony for Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or his image and had not received his mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years."

What a day when everyone will be united. But, there are still humans that have lived through the tribulation period and will continue to live and repopulate the earth.

That starts next weeks message on the "Millennial Reign"...
